Easter is Upon Us

What better way to say Happy Easter this weekend than with a bunch of spring flowers such as tulips,iris and freesia for fragrance all tied up in luxury wrapping with a big yellow bow. Long after the chocolate is gone, your loved one will still be admiring their Easter lillies on the kitchen table. So why not get her,him,granny or even the minder something blooming and fragrant this Easter for guarenteed pleasure.

Looking Forward to the Spring

I'm looking at those green shoots coming up through the soil as I leave my house every morning. Spring colour is nearly upon us. There's nothing that I love more than the yellow daffodils and colourful tulips at this time of year. I'm searching the flower market for all colours and shapes, traditional dutch to the spikey dwarf tulips. I love them bunched together in isolation of any other flower. They make a statement, its a new year and we've everything to look forward to.

I've done it at last. After twenty years working in design and floristry, I've taken the plunge and opened up my own florist shop. You may think I'm mad, given the state of the Global economy. However, I have friends who tell me, if I make it in this economic environment, I'll make it anytime. I opened just before Christmas 2008 and have been building the business slowly. I'm hoping my online presence in early 2009 will help grow the business. I'll be keeping you posted on the business and the flowers as I take this journey.
